I have never heard of it being as a sport, although it'll be so kikass if it was. But some schools do have it as a part of their PE curriculum.

It's bad and embarassing in either place, but when worst comes to worst, screwing up in a tourney is worse. Why? Because you're missing out on placing and getting the prize(s).

I remember back in my newbie days, doing a spanish project with DDR in it. I FS'd Candy Double cuz my friends thought it would be cool.

He's right. There isn't too much that DDR can do for you unless you have other things that add to your physical fitness (except for maybe playing multiple hours in a row with little/no break).

Like the others said, it's a practiced skill.

I agree. Getting back into the swing of things takes a bit, especially after not playing for such a long time.

I generally think Konami did a pretty good job with pauses...they definitely need to be used conservatively.

i think it was DIVE on DDRMAX2 US. played it at a friend's b-day on a soft mat. i suked soooo much bak then.

typically i'd start off with something catchy like Candy, but depending on my mood i'd intimidate noobs with 10 footers like 300 or Sakura.
