I've had mostly good experience with my AB. The first one had a dead right arrow but after ruffling customer support's feathers a bit, they were pretty quick to send a new one out.

I wish I could find more places around here that took care of their poor dance machines, whether they be ITG, DDR, or even PIU (which I still haven't tried... maybe this weekend.)
