Also, it is possible they have realized stepmania has INCREASED their sales in the U.S.

I heard something about USB v.1 causing some delays and that upgrading to USB v.2 (either with a new motherboard or a PCI card with USB 2.0 ports) can help solve delay problems.

What makes sense to ME is that Dance mode would be inactivated if the adapter lost power/didn't get enough power to stay 'on'. Thus when it came back 'on' it would be in its' original state.
