What most people do for wiring is have a cable running from the inside of the controller to the pad in a way such that they can still use the controler, but the actual pad can be used for the controll ... |

Also depends on how much wear there is on it. The best one I used decompresses immediately. If you get to the point where you need to replace it, look for Manco Super-R weatherstripping as a replaceme ... |

For one side, can't you just screw it into the base with the wire wrapped around the screw? No need fo solder. For the other side, are you able to wrap the wire inside a bracked hole and keep it taped ... |
