Lexan really isn't that bad. I got 4 square feet for 9 bucks, enough to do my dance arrows.

I use a Game Elements converter (PS2 to Xbox/GCN) for my metal pad and it works fine. Which one did you buy?

As for the controller type...no idea. It probably is just your converter.
