I can tell you that each of my 4 arrows ahve 6 led lights on them ... |

I'm guessing you're using led lights?

Maybe it might be runners knee.
DDR/ITG mimicks running to an extent.
During running, the hamstrings tend to work more then the quad which could cause an imbalance in the muscles hold you knee in ... |

If you do that, you run the risk of straining a muscle or tendon. Sudden, jerking movements (could be caused by you realizing you're about to miss a note, so you jerk your foot towards the arrow pane ... |
