Hey,
if you want an easy USB connection without adapters, you could get a xbox pad and solder an USB connector onto it. It's nothing complicated, and it saves you the lag and the money for a converte ...

I do use a "hacked" Xbox Controlbox for the TX series with the XBCD drivers and I don't have any problems at all, so it might be your pad or windows, but probably not the driver.

@The Wise Fool
This is awkward. The manual of the ITG I\O module states that the device is updated in an interval of 100Hz in isochronous mode, but then sends information in a 1000Hz resolution. If n ...

You can overclock your USB rate using this tool:

Note that this could irreparably damage your Computer. However, I've changed a bunch of Computers t ...

Imho you can wait as long as you want to and it won't get any better. Dance games are just not popular enough for dance pad makers to have some competition, which would help quality and prices. The CF ...

I don't know about DDR, but ITG is sampled at 1000Hz.

Afaik keyboards with PS/2 ports are only sampled at 60HZ. That means your arrows are only checked about every 16ms. USB is sampled at 125Hz and can be overclocked with a tool to up to ...

Oh, sorry katiidx, I thought this was a discussion about the CF and not a thread to praise it. Obviously, you have a problem with argumentation.
Yes you're right, I just saw that the new TX'es still ...

Too thick to what? To cut it?
Thicker is really better. The CF has 3mm because the contact technique relies on a bending arrow to make it work. But if you have a real metalpad with lights in the midd ...

.22 inches equals 56mm, which is not very much imo. Does Riptide use two layers of plexiglas?

The game that's being played 90% percent of the time is DDR/ITG, which uses a 4 panel setup. After that there comes PIU, but it's not nearly as popular. You're good with a 4/6 panel setup. The TX's al ...

You could try soldering the TX all-in-one CB onto it, then it should work and you still have compatibility with all consoles.

Well, Liksang is not the manufacturer, is it?
Usually they replace stuff like that without much questioning.

I really don't think that modding a TX is a "risky procedure", you could even do that much with two left hands. Besides, aren't the new TX'es arrows made of metal so that they don't need to be modded ...

Hm, good question.
I'm not sure, but I believe I heard a law that allows you to publish mixes of songs, eg use only elements of it or cut things out to make it fit 90+ seconds. However, I don't know.

However, the simfile syncing is different/worse from the DDR games and stepmania with usb adapters sucks a**, so the original games are still more fun.

Changing the dpad axis to buttons is done with the click of a button, just go through the xbcd configs and find an appropriate entry. You don't have to remap everything yourself.

As Jaufwa mentioned, you can solder onto all Dpad buttons. You just need to configure the XBCD driver the right way.
There might be some problems with the other buttons on the xbox controller, as the ...

I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry about static if you don't build dancepads. And a TX controlbox doesn't offer all the needed buttons anyways E15.gif

Yeah, normal Gamepads should do it, too.
You will probably have the same problems with your other gamepad if you disconnect the other pcbs.
If you want to store your pcb in the homepad and don't hav ...
