Moderator of the Month
Each month, the DDR Freak population decides on a moderator of the month by a poll. The moderator selected is an example of the best our forums offer and go above and beyond the call of duty.
September's Mod of the Month:
Cutriss!
Name: Drew
Age: 24
Nationality: USian. Though people seem to think I'm Canadian. Because nobody can place my accent.
Location: Vicksburg, MS
Relationship Status: Married for 14 months.
Kids: 2 - Both feline.
Been playing DDR since: Off and on since Spring '01.
Freestyler, Perfect Attacker or just for fun: Fun.
What drew you to DDR in the first place?: Half of it was the music, half of it was the innovative "interface"...the novelty of it.
What is your favorite DDR song?: Butterfly AM-3P - kTz
What is your favorite bemani song?: North - WALL5 (from Beatmania IIDX 4th Style)
What Bemani do you play outside of DDR?: Due to locality, I don't get to play much outside of DDR frequently. I've played DMX a good bit, some BM/IIDX, I've tried PPP, and I've had a mild smattering of Percussion Freaks.
Favorite bemani game: Dee Dee Arr, as I've just not had the chance to spend a lot of time with anything outside of DDR and DMX.
What is your favorite aspect about DDR?: Hard to put my finger on it. I really like the experience overall. I like the music a lot, but the activity (eg - exercise) is really great too.
How long have you been coming to DDR Freak: I don't remember, sometime before when Konamix was introduced, I think. That would make it pre-2002.
How long have you been a moderator?: Since April 1st. So, 5 months.
What helps you keep your sanity while moderating the site?: Everyone makes mistakes, and some people make them more often than others. Everyone has a brain...sometimes it just takes them a while to make contact with it.
What do you enjoy doing outside of DDR?: Playing Final Fantasy XI, doing programming projects. I'm pretty boring these days.
What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?: African or European?
Why are you so damn sexy?: My sexiness cannot begin to compare to that of Spike.
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?: Actually managing to graduate from college.
Boxers or briefs?: Briefs suck. Boxers all the way.
Favorite food?: I'd probably have to go with pasta, though chicken curry is a close second.
Favorite song?: Tough call. I believe I'd have to say Children In Bloom by Counting Crows.
Favorite movie?: Yeah, here goes all my credibility: Waterworld.
Favorite book?: "Where Is Joe Merchant?" by Jimmy Buffett.
Who should win the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election?: The people.
Who do you admire?: My father-in-law, Ken.
Give me a quote: "Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman." - Beethoven
