Okay, so i've been playing DDR for about 3 weeks now, and In The groove for about two. I'd prefer to play ITG over ddr anyways lol.
So, I can obliterate most 9's (except remember december i still have trouble with it)
But most 10's murder me. In fact...all 10's muder me. Trust me its not the fact i can't see them (because i can pass 12's with a controller....) but rather, the rhythms kill me on my feet! i cant seem to get them down. I can get about 3/4 of the way through most 10's but then i just cant go any farther because my feet just mess up..
So...what are the easiest 10's to shoot for?
I hear Queen of Light, My Favorite Game, and Anubis are the easiest..but im still not sure.
so yeah help would be nice. thanks. |

Oasis? thats a very difficult 10 I can't even pass it and I almost finished Summer today.. I don't agree with that at all.
Anubis is kinda difficult but I know alot of people get it as a first 10 I think Queen of Light or Bend your Mind is a million times easier though and are some of my favorite 10's. _________________

I went for My Favourite Game first, but that was only because I didn't know how to do hands back then.
Oasis is easy if you can bracket-rape. _________________

I've been told D-Code and Hispanic Panic are also easy 10's. _________________

I dont bar rape...(and i hear that alot of songs are EXTREMELY hard to not bar rape)
But i just went and tried all the rccomended ones
Anubis - that part where it goes 1 arrow 2 arrows 1 arrow 2 arrows 1 arrow 1 arrow still messes me up lol.
Bend your mind - Probably the closest i got to passing, pretty easy
Queen of light - Last part is the only part i truely have trouble with.
MY favorite game - just the part with the arrows going back and forth messes me up
Tribal Style - Why do i find this song to be so fricken hard? |

I have a hard time doing gallops, too. _________________

I completley forgot about D-Code Its probably the easiest. Hispanic Panic is a bit of a Tough one aswell IMO but give it a shot I guess.

I also cannot beat Soapy bubble either and have terrible scores on other songs with crossovers like Mythology ! etc. _________________

Well, you should go after the tougher 9's first. Let My Love Go Blind, No 1 Nation, Lipstick Kiss, and July hard to name a few. Try to FC them.
I dunno why people keep suggesting Anubis. I remember the end used to murder me.
D-Code should be your first 10. Seriously. It was even re-rated to a 9 in ITGPC. Yep, it's that easy of a 10. I think once you get Remember December hard down, you should go for expert. It's not all that different.
From there, you should be comfortable with most of the other 10's in the game. Good luck. |

Oasis is by no means an easy song; it was one of the last 10's I cleared along with Disconnected Hyper and Bouff. The only one I haven't passed is Soapy Bubble, but that one's ending is just plain insane. If I remember correctly, my first ones were D-Code, Queen Of Light, and Cryosleep, in that order. D-Code is by far the easiest of them all, but your mileage may vary with the other two.

You're not alone, that part used to give me a lot of trouble until recently. After a bit of practice I was able to get it down, although the quick bursts near the song's end still ruin my score.
Tranzworld wrote: | Bend your mind - Probably the closest i got to passing, pretty easy |
That's good to hear. The beginning can be quite a trouble spot, otherwise it's fairly easy to pass. The freeze section at the end can easily be double stepped if you don't feel like attempting the turns.
Tranzworld wrote: | Queen of light - Last part is the only part i truely have trouble with. |
That's probably because your legs are exhausted from all that squatting. Once you build up a little more stamina, that part will be easier to do.
Tranzworld wrote: | MY favorite game - just the part with the arrows going back and forth messes me up |
I haven't played it much, but that part always gives me trouble (of course, timing those long 16th note runs near the end right after skipping the mines isn't exactly easy for me, but it's not as bothersome as that other section). I guess the only advice I can give for this one (besides practicing a lot) is trying not to rush through those steps, because at 136 BPM this is a fairly slow song.
Tranzworld wrote: | Tribal Style - Why do i find this song to be so fricken hard? |
Hmm... maybe because it IS? It's quite a stamina drainer, which makes it very hard to pass at first. Once you get the stamina, though, you'll notice that it becomes quite easy to follow the steps, because they fit the music perfectly (IMHO, of course) and your score will go up quickly. In fact, this is my highest score among the 10's, even higher than Queen Of Light and D-Code.
Considering you've only been playing for 3 weeks, you're doing very well. I guess it all comes down to the dreaded P-word, "practice". _________________

I'm surprised no one's said Vertex Hard yet. That one is very easy for a 10, the 614 part notwithstanding. _________________

i agree. Queen of light was my first ITG 10, but i don't really count it as a 10 since i don't do the hands. (i use my feet). After that, Vertex was next, however, i'd imagine it to be a lot harder for non bar-rapers.
you should try:
On a Day Like Today ex(9). although this is a 9, the runs are very twisty (for a 9). and, imo, should be a 10.
Liquid Moon ex. (9)- moved down 10-->9 from ITGPS2.
very intense beginning, very simple ending, fun hands.
Disconnected ex.(9) drills at 200, 8th note runs, etc.
Hybrid ex (10) if you can pass Disconnected, this should be easy, but the 16ths alternate. (this song, while easy, is draining, so make sure you have tons of energy before trying it.)
One False Move ex.(10)- honestly, there is very little difference between hard and ex. for this chart. (ex.is a bit more twisty though). it's ~100BPM, some 16ths, hands, 32nds, mines etc.
this one is a difficult sightread though. _________________

I'd suggest Queen of Light without hands (My First 10 on ITG, personally I enjoy it the best)
Then Vertex hard, BYM (I don't enjoy it), and then possibly Tribal Style (Just get the galloping down) _________________
