This is a very interesting conversation...

It's easy to see the physical stress required for the game...but I think it will always be considered a game generaly (that Norway). The main reason I woulnd't consider it a sport is because there is a limit. In football (for example) there are 2 human teams constantly creating new ideas, reacting independantly to form a new challenge every time. But in DDR you can get to the point where you can't get better. Eventually you can AAA every song. If you have two people that can do that compete, the winner is the person that doesn't mess up first. That isn't much of a sport....in my opinion...then again nascar is considered a sport and it is almost the same idea....

....interesting...

Hm, well in NASCAR, new parts come out, and it takes the drivers a while to master the new feeling of the car after the part is installed. In that sence, NASCAR isn't always the same.

Now in DDR always being the same, Remember there are mods, plus edits even though those aren't used for tourneys. As for new Ideas, look at freestyling, that's part of the game, is to come up with a new Idea.
