It didn't stay fixed...

But it is now. Turns out there was a miniscule break in the copper. After some solder in the right spot, it works again. Perfectly.

So if you have problems like mine, loo ...

Wow, fantastic, and totally out of my league. Can we have some user feedback on it? Like, how many in the family does DDR? How do they like it? Have they tried metal pads before?

And I got my question answered offline (it's digital, and the pinouts are known), so please remove this thread as well. T ...

OK, I uploaded a picture of my pad - I edited it into the first post in the thread here. It's a first try, and I'd do it differently today. It needs a few more staples, but you need a really heavy dut ...

I've had this mod for a long time now, and I'm very pleased with it. I could use a few more staples on one strip of flooring (the piece I had wasn't broad enough, so I've got two pieces, with the join ...

On a side note, to make it easier on your feet when playing without shoes, you can actually put a soft mat OVER the pad. I would use something like a yoga mat {the non sticky ones} and place it over t ...

This is an interesting idea. Just not sure how this additional layer and weight of the linoleum will affect the sensitivity and reliability of the metal pad. You may want to try it out and let us kn ...

I use Dancing Stage (Europe).

The first game I noticed I could turn off simultaneous step/jumps is Max.

Is there a way to turn them off with earlier games? Edit mode?

Thinking about buying Me ...

The flooring came loose when I went to store the pad upright. The duct tape couldn't hold it. Looks like I'll need to glue it (a bit hesitant to do that, so will look for alternatives) or staple or ha ...

I wonder...

If you have one piece of linoleum, and somehow fasten that directly on to a floppy mat. Maybe that would be enough of a mod, without the plywood base? Say if you store the mat flat on t ...

I just modded a floppy pad by covering it with what might be linoleum (smells like it). It feels fantastic under my feet!

Anyway, I was wondering if maybe pieces of linoleum cut out and fastened to ...

I bought some flooring yesterday. It might be linoleum, not sure. I was looking for vinyl, but took what they had, which might be old. It's quite thick, with felt on the back. No structure on the fron ...

I tried cutting out panels from a camping mattress and duct taping to the plastic covering the top of the soft mat.

I had to completely cover them with duct tape, or they would tear apart.

But t ...
